Book of Tentacles done - 2009-06-30

This weekend I delivered the last pieces of "The Book of Tentacles" anthology to the publisher. 32 stories & poems, all kinds of genres and styles, all with TENTACLES as an important factor. Fun stuff! Should be available in a few weeks ... stay tuned!

7 stories in one day? - 2009-06-07

Here's an odd item ... folks buggered off and left me alone on Memorial Day. I sat down, banged out two flash fiction pieces, took a walk, came up with a short story ... and by day's end had 7 new stories. Sure, they were all under 1,800 words each, but they're all good enough to submit, and it felt nice to have a creative day after months of stress and baloney.

Somehow I forgot to mention my biggest little sale to date: a story ("To All Sister Capsules") accepted for the one-page fiction feature at NATURE magazine. Yes, the big science journal. Very cool.
